Montezuma Well Nat’l Monument

Montezuma Well (Nat'l Mon)Description: This is a unique area in both a biological and geological sense – please read more about it here. The area itself includes the Well which is an attraction in its own right, a very pleasant trail along the drainage stream from the Well, a well marked NPS trail along the desert surrounding the Well and a ranger station and restrooms.

Ease of road access: Paved all the way to the parking lot if accessed from I-17 Lake Montezuma exit.

Ease of hiking access: Clear, open trails from the parking lot.

Approximate area size: Less than 0.5 sq. mile

Parking facilities: Excellent, paved. restrooms at site. Frequency of use by public: Moderately used by tourist traffic.
