Sheep’s Crossing (Alcantara)
Description: This site is wonderfully located at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. The upstream portion of the site is owned by Alcantara Winery which is, itself, a worthwhile stop after birding is finished.

Ease of hiking access: Short, steep trail from parking lot to flood plain. The broad flood pain itself has several worn trails but can be crossed at will. Approximate area size: 1.0 miles x 0.1 miles
